
About the Autumn Sessions
The Autumn Sessions provided performance opportunities for local musicians to share their musical talents with older residents living in the Inner West of Sydney. Performing for an appreciative audience of aged care residents is a unique and hugely fulfilling experience and the participating musicians were inspired by connecting with older people in the local community. With the support of the Inner West Council and MusicNSW, we 18 funded positions available for eligible musicians.
We recently reflected on the success of the 2019 project titled 'A case for: why live music should be more than a luxury a we age' . You can find our Medium article below.
The Launch Event
On Sunday 31st March, we held a Launch Event at Petersham Bowling Club to kick off the project and to celebrate the passionate and diverse musicians who took part in the project. Some highlights below.
